We started Harla because the model of property management is broken. Landlords are trapped by agencies in complex management contracts, with overpriced additional charges and fees.
Service quality degrades and communication deteriorates for a number of reasons, putting property and revenue at risk and creating stress for all parties. This degradation happens for several reasons:

Harla is family owned and led by George Unsworth, a highly experienced private landlord, property manager and developer. He has operated private property management services for over two decades and as a property expert has designed collections systems and tenancy services for the Greater London Authority, Nationwide, Advice for Renters, the PwC real estate team and multiple housing associations.
Sheer frustration with the property sector, and in particular the services being provided to private landlords, led George to found Harla alongside his trusted team of property technicians and engineers. Together we are a highly experienced team providing our landlords with 24/7 support and care in London and select regions across England.
To avoid excess costs for our landlords Harla operates a remote and digital-first management approach with our HQ based at The Fisheries in London.
